Sunset Park Opens Ice Skating Rink

The rink will remain open as long as weather permits.

The ice skating rink at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, has opened for the winter season.

The rink will remain open from sunrise to sunset, weather-permitting, for the next several weeks, according to a village of LITH press release. Hockey is not permitted on the rink.

The village will put out red flag to indicate that skating is not allowed. Those flags are typically used when temperatures rise above 32 degrees or sink below negative 10 degrees, according to the news release.
