Splash Pad Re-Opens Following Repairs

The village of Lake in the Hills had closed down the splash pad for repairs this past week.

The Sunset Park splash pad is back in business.

After closing down for 1 1/2 days this past week, the popular summer spot for kids is now open again, said Trudy Wakeman, director of parks and recreation for the village, in an e-mail.

A part that controlled the power needed to be ordered to get the splash pad up and running again, Wakeman said.
