No Bank on Randall Road in Lake in the Hills
Part of the former Blockbuster Video location could have become a bank, but concerns including safety of the proposed drive-thru design and parking blocked the proposal, the "Daily Herald" reports.
Associated Bank will not be the next tenant in the former Blockbuster Video location, 208 N. Randall Road, after the Lake in the Hills trustees voted down the proposal Thursday, according to the Daily Herald.
Concerns included insufficient parking, poor drive-through design and that the bank would use roughly half the space in the vacant building, the Daily Herald reports.
A conditional permit request by Associated Bank on Tuesday during a committe of the whole meeting also was turned down by the board, the Daily Herald reports.
