LITH Takes Nominations for Halloween Decorating Contest

If creepy, crawly and spooky is your thing, the village of annual Halloween house decorating contest might be right up your alley.

The village is taking nominations for the scariest and cheeriest home decorations in Lake in the Hills.

The first 20 homes registered will be eligible for the contest. You can nominate your own home or your neighbors by calling the village at 1-847-960-7460. 

Judging will be held on Oct. 20.

He opens up his haunted yard to the public in the weeks leading up to Halloween. . 

Wrolson is putting the finishing touches on this year's set-up. He reports spending an additional $4,500 this year on new props, prop upgrades and security upgrades (check back to Patch next week for a video and article on his haunted yard and to find out what's new this year).
