Lake in the Hills Looks to Expand Skate Park

The Northwest Herald reports the village could buy used wooden ramps from Itasca.

The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department is looking into purchasing new ramps for its skate park at Sunset Park in Lake in the Hills, according to the Northwest Herald. 

The village is looking into buying used wooden ramps from Itasca with hopes of having those in place by mid-July, Parks and Recreation Department Director Trudy Wakeman told the Northwest Herald.

The village hopes to add a pyramid — "a set of ramps of multiple angles,"  according to the NW Herald. The village also is looking into adding a spine ramp for bikers at the park.

The plans to expand started to take shape after the Warp Skatepark at 9244 Trinity Drive .
