What is the primary reason you are running for this office?
My passion for this village. To continue working with staff and other elected officials making this a preferred place to live in McHenry County.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?
For more than 10 years I have served the people of LITH in one way or another, sitting on the Park board the Planning & Zoning Commission or a board Trustee, I will continue to listen to the people and make them my priority.

What are the top three issues facing Lake in the Hills residents?

  1. Will my streets get plowed after a big snow storm?
  2. Will the Village continue to be a safe place to live?
  3. Will my drinking water continue to safe to drink?

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

The passion for this village. It isn’t just being a Trustee; it is serving the people of this village. I would want my elected official be a part of the village, someone who volunteers at different village functions, someone who is involved with other groups that support the livelihood of the village of LITH. Having been the only Trustee to have sat on each of the Village commissions, gives me the experience and knowledge to serve the people of this village.

What is your favorite thing about Lake in the Hills?
Being able to live in a community with such diversity and offerings.

What is your least favorite thing about Lake in the Hills?
Driving on and around Randall Road at rush hour.

We have recently hired a new Community Development Marketing person to help market LITH. We have also passed a resolution that provides tax incentives to new businesses moving into LITH.

Do you support a Continuous Flow Intersection at Randall and Algonquin roads? Why or why not?

No!! Having sat on the committee for 2 years with McHenry County to evaluate alternatives with that intersection, I would agree that a CFI at that location would have such a negative impact to the village. The proposed CFI would close off too many entrances to several businesses within the village boundary’s causing undue hardship and loss of revenues.

What improvements, if any, would you like to see in the way village government is run in Lake in the Hills?

For the past twelve years, this village has been running great. The elected board, the staff and other village employees continue to perform in a professional manner serving the people of LITH.
