Lake in the Hills Proposes Property Tax Levy Decrease

For the third year in a row, the village of Lake in the Hills is proposing to reduce its property tax levy, according to the Daily Herald. 

Village officials are in the process of reviewing the 2014 budget and are proposing expenditures of about $17 million, which is about a $123,180 surplus in the general fund, and are also proposing a .2 percent decrease in the property tax levy, according to the article.
