Lake in the Hills Again Offers Incentive Program to Draw Airport Tenants

The incentive program began Friday and will continue through Aug. 31, according to the Northwest Herald.

The village of Lake in the Hills is once again trying to attract tenants to the Lake in the Hils Airport.

The village of Lake in the Hills will offer a "finder's fee" to a current airport tenant of $294.80 if the new tenant they refer enters a one-year lease, according to a memo in the Lake in the Hills Village Board packet. The cost to rent a T-hangar at the airport is $294.80 per month.

In return, the new tenant will receive three months of free rent, according to the memo. The incentive program began March 1 and will run through Aug. 31, according to the Northwest Herald.

The village would bring in $1,664.80 in revenue over the year if it filled one empty hangar, according to the memo. The village also offered an incentive program in 2012.
