Lake in the Hills Starts Hydrant Flushing Next Week

The Village of Lake in the Hills Public Works Department will be conducting a system wide water main flushing program affecting all public water supply mains.

During the week of April 16, phase one of the flushing program will address all areas of the water system West of Randall Road. All remaining areas East of Randall Road will be flushed during the following week of April 23.

All flushing is scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 27. The Village does not expect to conduct any flushing on weekends or after 6 p.m. on weekdays during this time.

The flushing program is designed to improve water quality throughout Lake in the Hills.

Notification signs will be placed at the main entrances to each subdivision at least 12 hours prior to flushing and be removed when work in the subdivision is completed.

The Village recommends that residents refrain from doing laundry during times in which the flushing occurs in their subdivision.
