Festival of Trees Contest Winner Announced

Trinity Gymnastics Academy collected 249 nonperishable food items under the tree it decorated during the annual Festival of Trees.

Trinity Gymnastics Academy collected the most donated food under its Christmas tree this year making it the winner of the 2011 Festival of Trees decorating contest. 

In total, 249 nonperishable items were left under Trinity's tree, according to a village press release. 

People were asked to leave a nonperishable item under their favorite decorated tree as part of a yearly fundraising event organized by the village of . The trees lined the front sidewalk of Village Hall, and donations were taken from Dec. 3 through Dec. 22.

In total, 1,400 items were donated. The nonperishable items have been donated to the  and the Grafton Township Food Pantry.

The village presented Trinity Gymnastics Academy with a gift card to for their efforts.
