Riverside Plaza-Condos or Apts? Hearing Monday, July 9, 7pm

The owner of Riverside Plaza is requesting to change from building 54 condominiums on the corner of Algonquin Rd and Route 31 to 69 apartments.  The Algonquin Village Hall (2200 Harnish Drive) will be having a public hearing at 7 pm this Monday July 9th.  The board is hoping to find a way to make downtown viable after struggling with this building since 2006.

They will be discussing available parking spaces, density at the busy intersection, market need for apartments in a saturated rental market, owner occupied vs rental, difficulty in financing condos and any ideas that need to be addressed.  Please take the time to come and be part of this important discussion.
