Orland Township "Pet-palooza"

Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Avenue, is hosting its
second annual “Pet-palooza” on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from noon to 3 p.m. General admission is free; however, a donation of one five-pound bag of pet food is strongly encouraged. Monetary donations will also be accepted and all proceeds benefit the Pet Pantry, spearheaded by Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.

The day is scheduled to include a variety of highlights,
including a pet parade, contests and demonstrations, pony rides, pet adoptions, vet consultations, musical entertainment, photographs with team mascots, including Southpaw, exhibitors, vendors and food samplings from localrestaurants. There will be a kids’ zone on-site with an inflatable bounce house, face painting, balloons, games, prizes and more. Brookfield Zoo will also be at “Pet-palooza” with exotic birds and reptiles.

Leashed pets are welcome and water stations and shading areas will be located throughout the event.
