Emerald Ash Borer Costs Add Up

The Northwest Herald report that the villages of Algonquin and Lake in the Hills have spent $150,000 to combat the invasive beetle.

Emerald ash borer infestations have become costly to combat for area municipalities in recent years.

The Northwest Herald reports that since 2008, the village of Lake in the Hills and Algonquin have spent more than $150,000 to fight the invasive beetle that feeds on ash trees.
