Poll: Unleashed Dogs, Bad Behavior at Bark Park

The Northwest Herald reports that over 500 people in McHenry County suffer from a dog bite each year.

The Northwest Herald reports dogs unleashed in neighborhoods and showing aggressive behavior at dog parks has lead at least one Lake in the Hills man to avoid taking his dog out on as many walks and from visiting the . 

Dog owners are held responsible for their pets' behavior — including any aggressive behavior — at the Lake in the Hills Bark Park, according to the article. The parks department has received three complaints of dog bites among the 500 dog owners signed up to use the park.

In McHenry County, there are more than 500 dog bites reported each year, according to the NW Herald.
