Algonquin Receives Award for Annual Financial Report
This is the seventh consecutive year the village has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
For the seventh year in a row, Algonquin has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The award was given to the village by the Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report.
The award is the highest form of recognition for governmental and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
To receive the award, an impartial panel judges a village's "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and to motivate residents to read the village's annual financial report.
