1,900 Still Without Power in LITH

ComEd says it should have 90 percent of power restored by Thursday night.

As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, there were still 1,907 without power in Lake in the Hills, said Village Administrator Gerald Sagona.

During the course of this week's power outage, ComEd has restored power to 4,867 Lake in the Hills customers.

Sagona wrote in an email that he is learning that the northern region, which includes McHenry County, is lagging behind other regions for power restoration.

When he learned this, Sagona said he reached out to the ComEd public affairs director, area legislators, city managers in McHenry County and the county administrator “to see what can be done collectively to focus attention on McHenry County.”

ComEd is reporting 90 percent of those without power should be restored by Thursday night. Of the remaining 10 percent, 9 percent will have power by noon Friday. The remaining 1 percent will have power restored over the weekend.
