Woodstock Man Gets Probation in Drag Racing Fatality

Jacob Norys and Alec Kaiser died after street racing and crashing in rural Woodstock last summer.

A 22-year-old Woodstock man who raced two area teens who later died in a crash in rural Woodstock last summer has been sentenced to three years probation, according to the Northwest Herald. 

Daniel L. Huber entered guilty please to two counts of aggravated street racing for charges that he was racing the two teens, Jacob Norys and Alec Kaiser, before they crashed, according to the article. 

Norys and Kaiser, both 16 year olds from Woodstock, were killed in the crash, which occurred in the 14000 block of Davis Road. The 2010 Hyundai Elantra they were in was traveling west and left the south side of the road, striking a brick pillar and a tree, sheriff's police said.

Kaiser and Norys were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and airbags did deploy. The McHenry County Coroner's office pronounced Kaiser and Norys dead at the scene.
