Three Injured in Accident on Fox River

The three were transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injuries.

Three were injured Sunday evening when a boat and personal watercraft collided on the Fox River near Haegers Bend Road and Arthur Road in unincorporated Algonquin. 

Rescue crews were called to the scene at 4:50 p.m. after being notified by passing boaters about the accident, according to an Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District press release. 

All three of the injured occupants, who were on the personal watercraft at the time of the crash, were helped to the shore by a passing boater where rescue crews provided medical treatment. They were taken to Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to the news release.

The Mchenry County Sheriff Marine Unit was investigating the accident, according to the news release.
