Teens Vandalize Gazebo at Larsen Park

LITH Police charged two area teens with damaging gazebo roof.

Two Lake in the Hills teens have been charged with damaging property after police said they pulled the shingles off the gazebo roof at Larsen Island, 1111 Pyott Road.

Lake in the Hills Police Sgt. Terri Vollmer said two boys, ages 13 and 14, were charged with criminal damage to state supported property for the incident.

The boys were taken into custody at Larsen Island around 8:23 p.m. Friday. The teens' names are not being released because they are juveniles.

Cost to repair the damage is estimated at under $150, Vollmer said.

Both teens were released to their parents.
