Identity Theft

A report of identity theft made by a resident living in the 10 block of Riviera Court at 9:59 a.m. Wednesday was turned over to the Melbourne, Australia Police Department. 

DUI Arrest

Police arrested a 36-year-old Crystal Lake man at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake in the Hills Police Department. The man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid Illinois license, improper lane usage, driving without a seat belt and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was later released on bond. 

Sexual Assault

Lake in the Hills Police received a report from a LITH resident at 11:24 a.m. on Tuesday regarding a sexual assault. The report is under investigation. 

Driving While License Suspended

Lake in the Hills police arrested a 32-year-old Carpentersville man in the 1200 block of Burr St. at 7:48 a.m. Monday for driving while license suspended. He was later released on bond. 

Burglary to Vehicles/Criminal Trespassing

Police arrested a 19-year-old Algonquin man on two counts of burglary from a motor vehicle and three counts of criminal trespassing to a motor vehicle in the 300 block of Harvest Gate at 11:01 p.m. Monday. The arrest stemmed from reports of vehicles that were burglarized in the 300 block of Harvest Gate and vehicles that were entered in the 100 and 400 blocks of Harvest Gate late Monday. The teen was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

Hit and Run

Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 2700 block of Melbourne Lane at 3:39 p.m. Monday. An unknown vehicle hit another vehicle in that area.
