Teen Arrested for Driving 40 MPH Over Speed Limit

Lake in the Hills Police also arrested three teens on drug charges over the past several days and are investigating a residential burglary.

Teens Arrested on Drug Charges           

Two area teens were arrested at Taco Bell, 231 N. Randall Road, Wednesday on drug charges, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s daily bulletin. A 17-year-old Gilberts boy and a 17-year-old Huntley boy both face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana – less than 2.5 grams and a local charge of possession of tobacco by a minor. Police arrested the teens around 5:53 p.m. Thursday and later released them to their parents.

Identity Theft Reported

A resident living in the 300 block of Council Trail called police around 1:07 p.m. on Wednesday to reported that their credit card had been used without their consent. The individual did not file a police report on the alleged identity theft, according to the bulletin.

Driving While Suspended

A 27-year-old Woodstock woman was arrested around 7:15 p.m. Thursady after being pulled over in the area of McHenry Avenue and Randall Road. The woman faces charges for driving with a suspended license, an expired registration and also was cited for not having any valid insurance. She was later released on bond.

Ordinance Violation: Large Amount of Trash

A citation was issued to a resident living in the 1300 block of Clayton March for a large amount of trash, which is an ordinance violation. Police responded to home around 8:57 a.m. Thursday

Criminal Damage to Property

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property reported in the 2700 block of Fairfax Lane around 7:59 p.m. Thursday, according to the daily bulletin. Items were reportedly damaged on the outside of the home.

Speeding in Excess of 40 MPH

A 16-year-old Cary boy was arrested on a speeding charge Friday night. The boy was reportedly speeding in excess of 40 mph and was pulled over in the area of Pyott and Rakow roads around 9:38 p.m. Friday. He was later released on bond.

Woman Arrested for Visitation Interference

A 33-year-old Hebron woman was arrested around 5:38 p.m. Friday for interfering with a court-ordered visitation. She was issued a notice to appear.

Woman Arrested for Theft

A 24-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was arrested around 2:49 p.m. Friday for unlawfully using a credit card. She was turned over to McHenry County Jail and faces a theft charge, according to the daily bulletin.

Criminal Damage to Property at Moretti’s

An awning was reportedly cut with a knife at Moretti’s, 220 N. Randall Road, early Friday morning. The criminal damage to property was reported to police around 1:08 a.m. Friday and is under investigation.

Residential Burglary on Wedgewood Circle

A burglary on the 500 block of Wedgewood Circle was reported around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Jewelry was reportedly taken from the home. The burglary is under investigation.

Girl Arrested on Drug Charge

A 13-year-old Lake in the Hills girl was arrested in the 1500 block of Clayton Marsh around 5:48 p.m. Sunday. The girl faces a possession of drug paraphernalia charge in juvenile court and was later released to a parent, according to the daily bulletin.
