Second Story Porch Fire at Cary Home

Fire broke out at a second-story home in Cary on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The Cary Fire Protection District responded to a porch fire at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 33 S. Route 14. The porch is attached to a staircase leading from the building's second story, according to the Northwest Herald. 

Firefighters arrived to find the porch on fire. They extinguished the flames within five minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No foul play is expected. The family who lives in the second story was not hurt, the Herald reports. The first floor is occupied by a business.
