Police Make Arrests in Moretti's Drunken Driving Crashes
LITH Police arrested a Wonder Lake man and a LITH man during the early morning hours Friday for two separate accidents.
A 22-year-old Wonder Lake man was arrested early Friday morning after striking a parked taxi cab with his own car at and then leaving the scene, police said.
Ryan R. Gran, 22, of Wonder Lake hit the parked taxi around 2:30 a.m. Friday, Lake in the Hills Police told LITH Patch.
The taxi driver followed Gran and called police, said LITH Police Officer Joe Simms.

Gran was stopped by police in the area of Rakow and Pyott roads.
Gran was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving under the influence of alcohol, having a blood alcohol content over .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, three counts of disobeying a traffic control device and failure to give information.

Gran was released on bond.
Only hours after the accident with the parked taxi cab, a 21-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested at Moretti's after police said he caused a minor accident while driving under the influence.
When police attempted to arrest Gilberto Padilla Jr., 21, 426 Thunder Ridge, around 4:06 a.m. at Simms said he resisted and ran away.
Padilla was apprehended a short time later at Moretti's and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting a peace officer.
Padilla was later released on bond, police said.
