Police Locate Heroin in Vehicle Following Traffic Stop

Police arrested two men on drug charges during the Sept. 10 traffic stop.

The below information came from a McHenry County Sheriff's Office press release 

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men for drug charges in unincorporated Woodstock, Illinois on September 10 at approximately 1 p.m.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Unit made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Illinois Rt. 120 and Greenwood Road, Woodstock, Illinois.

The driver, Matthew D. Bell, 32, of Richmond was arrested for Obstructing Justice and No Valid Driver’s License. The passenger, Daniel M. Stolzke, 56, of Woodstock was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

During the traffic stop, the Intelligence Unit Deputies located approximately 1.6 grams of heroin. The street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $200.00.

Undersheriff Andrew Zinke stated, “Local law enforcement, counseling services, and community stakeholders are working together in the Heroin Education/Enforcement Action Task Force (HEAT) to fight the heroin problem in McHenry County.”
