Algonquin, LITH Blotter: Check Crime Reports in Your Neighborhood

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following reports and made various arrests from March 18 through March 22, 2012. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

2:06 a.m. March 22, 2012: Police arrested Anthony Broederdorf, 20, of 1301 Cardinal Drive in Algonquin, in the 1000 block of Viewpoint Drive for felony burglary, theft, two counts of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and two counts of criminal trespassing to a motor vehicle. He was released to parent. 

8:33 a.m. March 21, 2012: Police arrested Michael A. Smith, 29, of Crystal Lake, at Lee Avenue and Decatur Avenue for no valid driver's license expired over one year, expired registration and failure to secure new registration. He was released on bond.

3:12 p.m. March 21, 2012: Police arrested Amy E. Rauch, 34, of 1447 Milbrook Drive in Algonquin, for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, violation of license classification and operating a motorcycle without eye protection. She was released on bond.

10:01 a.m. March 21, 2012: Police received a delayed theft report of a digital camera, GPS unit and a microscope in the first block of Walter Court in Lake in the Hills. The report was turned over to the Lake in the Hills Police Department's investigations' team.

11:41 p.m. March 20, 2012: Police arrested Lewis K. Stanley, 58, of Huntley, at Algonquin and Frank roads in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with breath alcohol level over .08, expired driver's license, no insurance and improper lane use. He was released on bond.

4:58 p.m. March 19, 2012: Police arrested Timothy J. Elders, 28, of Joliet, at Randall Road and McHenry Avenue in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended, operating a vehicle while on a cell phone in a construction zone, no insurance and unlawful use of a license. He was released on bond.

12:16 a.m. March 18, 2012: Police arrested Martin Garcia-Gomez, 45, of Carpentersville, for no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance and speeding at West Algonquin Road and Meyer Drive in Algonquin. He was released after posting $150 bond. He is next expected in court on April 18 in McHenry County. 

6:36 p.m. March 18, 2012: Police arrested Joseph D. Shaffer, 25, of Sharon, Wis., and Brittanie L. Wilson, 19, of Harvard, for retail theft at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Both were released on a notice to appear. A court date was set for April 25 in Algonquin. 

3:13 p.m. March 18, 2012: Police arrested Juan L. Mojarro, 36, of Carpentersville, for driving while license suspended, suspended registration and no proof of insurance at Randall Road and County Line Road in Algonquin. He was released on $150 bond. He is next expected in court on April 25. 

12:24 a.m. March 19, 2012: Police arrested Brenda L. Hale, 46, of Carpentersville, for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. She was taken into custody at River Road and Route 62 in Algonquin. She was released after posting $100 and her driver's license. She is expected in court on April 25 in McHenry County. 

4:09 p.m. March 19, 2012: Police arrested Jose L. Penna, 20, of 1600 Arquilla Drive in Algonquin, for battery. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin. He was released after posting $150. He is expected in court on April 25 in McHenry County. 

5:35 p.m. March 20, 2012: Police arrested a 17-year-old Huntley girl for retail theft at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. She was released on a notice to appear. She is expected in court on April 25 in Algonquin. 

2:49 a.m. March 22, 2012: Police arrested Kathleen M. Roxas, 21, of 2020 Aspen Drive in Algonquin, for theft. She was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin. She was released on a personal recognizance board. She is expected in court on April 25. 

1:15 p.m. March 22, 2012: Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin boy for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was taken into custody at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his mother.
