Police Blotter Dec. 31 to Jan. 3

A review of the week's reports releaesed by the Lake in the Hills Police Department for Saturday, Dec. 31, through Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2011.

Underage Drinking

A 16-year-old Crystal Lake boy was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, for consumption of alcohol by a minor. The boy was arrested in the 1100 block of Heavens Gate. The boy was issued a notice to appear in court, and released to a parent.

DUIs

John W. Schladt, 33, 1219 Village Dr., Round Lake Beach, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1., at Randall Road and Acorn Lane for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content greater than .08, disobeying a traffic control device, possession of less than 2.5 grams marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and having no insurance. Schladt was released on bond.

Michael P. Gustafson, 28, 1008 Harrow Gate Dr., Woodstock, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, near Acorn Court and Acorn Lane, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08. Gustafson was released on bond.

Domestic Battery

Michael Lupo, 45, 10 Litchfield Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 2:36 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, near his home for two counts of domestic battery. Lupo was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock.

Violation of Bail Bond

Michael A. Lupo, 45, 10 Litchfield Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, in the 10 block of Litchfield Court for violation of a bail bond. Lupo was transported to McHenry County Jail in Woodstock, police said.

Domestic Disputes

Police were called at 2:42 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, to the 0 to 100 block of West Oak Street to assist with a verbal argument between a mother and daughter. Police have been called to the home four previous times. No arrests were made.

Police were called at 6:18 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, to a home in the 4300 block of Barharbor Drive to assist with a verbal argument between a father and a son. Police have been called to the home seven previous times. No arrests were made.

Choking Baby

At 7:35 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, police and emergency personnel were called to a residence in the 100 block of Village Creek Drive to help with a seven-month-old baby boy who was choking. The child did not need transport to a hospital, police said.

Wanted on Warrant

Cheryl A. Landry, 36, 221 Heine Ave., Elgin, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, in the 900 block of Viewpoint Drive for driving while license suspended. Landry also was wanted on a warrant from McHenry County for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Landry’s bond was set at $10,000, and she was transported to McHenry County Jail in Woodstock.

Ashley Carrasco, 20, 7114 Cottage Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, near Ackman and Randall roads for driving while license suspended and having expired registration. Carrasco was wanted on a warrant out of Kane County for driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bond for that warrant arrest was set at $7,500. Carrasco was also wanted on a warrant out of Chicago for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Her bond for that warrant arrest was set at $3,000. Carrasco was released on bond.

Ambulance Call

Police were called to the 400 block of East Oak Street at 4:37 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, to assist with a two-year-old boy who was having a seizure. The boy was transported to Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

Police and emergency personnel responded at 12:27 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, to the 5700 block of Lucerne Lane to assist a 30-year-old man who had taken too much medication. The man was transported to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, police said.

Car Accidents

Police were called at 5:34 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, to the area of Montclair and Banford Circle to the scene of an accident where a car struck a tree. Property damage was reported. No injuries were involved, police said.

Police were called at 5:06 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, to the area of Pyott and Rakow roads to help with a two-vehicle accident. No one was injured. Property damage was reported.

At 6:47 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, police responded to Thornton’s Gas Station, 2265 W. Algonquin Rd., to the scene of a two-car accident. Property damage was reported. No injuries were sustained.

A two-vehicle accident occurred about 2:04 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in the area of Pyott and Rakow roads.  Police said property damage was reported; however, no injuries were involved.

Police responded at 5:14 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, to an accident involving three vehicles near Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive. Property damage was reported. No injuries were involved.

Suspected Hit and Run

Police were called at 10:56 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, to Costco, 250 N. Randall Rd., to investigate a car that had possibly been hit in the parking lot by an unknown offender.

Missing Juvenile

Police responded to a call at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at AMC Theatre, 311 N. Randall Rd., where a 17-year-old male had gone missing. The young man apparently had returned home, police said.
