Police Blotter: Burglar Takes Wii and TV; Curfew Violations

Lake in the Hills police reports from Monday and Tuesday.

Curfew violation: Three Lake in the Hills boys, 14, 13 and 12, were charged with curfew violation for being out at 1:17 a.m., at Lakewood and Algonquin Roads, July 26. They were released to their parents.

 

Domestic battery: Police arrested a 25-year-old Lake in the Hills man, Tuesday, on the 2800 block of Melbourne Lane. He was charged with domestic battery and transported to McHenry County Jail.

DUI: A 51-year-old Crystal Lake man was stopped at Harvest Gate and Algonquin Road and charged with impeding traffic, improper lane use and driving under the influence of alcohol, at 8:06 p.m., Tuesday. He was released on bond.

Garage burglary: A resident of the 2800 block of Impressions Drive reported on July 26  that a gas can was taken from an open garage.

 

Harassment: A mother on Laurel Valley Court reported to police that she was being harassed by her son, on July 26.

 

Home burglary: A resident of the 200 block of Indian Trail reported, on Tuesday, a residential burglary. A plasma TV, a Wii game consol, a DVD player, and a ladder were taken from the home after a forced entry was made.

 

DUI: A 22-year-old Lake in the Hills man was stopped at Algonquin and Lakewood Roads at 1:43 a.m., Monday. He was charged with no insurance, failing to reduce speed and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released on bond.

 

Drug possession: A 17-year-old Algonquin juvenile was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and underage drinking at the White Castle, 241 Randall Rd, at 2:40 a.m., Monday. He was released to a parent.

 

Suspended license: A 49-year-old Algonquin man was charged with driving while license suspended, no valid registration on July 25 when he was stopped at Algonquin and Lakewood Roads.

 

Theft: A resident of Montclair Court reported on July 25 jewelry taken from the residence.

 

Burglary to vehicle: Police received a report, July 25, of items taken from a vehicle on the 1000 block of Viewpoint Drive.
