Blotter: Police Arrest Woman in Aggravated Assault at Moretti's
The Lake in the Hills Police Department made the following arrests and responded to various reports from Thursday through Monday in Lake in the HIlls.
Vehicle Burglaries Reported in Lake in the Hills
A reminder to residents to lock up and remove valuables from vehicles as police received six motor vehicle burglary reports Monday.
In one of the incidents, the perpetrator(s) smashed out a window of a car and then apprehended a pack of cigarettes. Other valuables stolen in the vehicle burglaries include jewelry, a wallet, electronics and a cell phone.

Battery
Police responded to a battery complaint between two males in the 1300 block of West Algonquin Road at 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Violation of Order of Protection
Police are investigating a violation of an order of protection report Monday morning regarding a female in the 700 block of Wedgewood Circle who is receiving phone calls.
Aggravated Assault at Moretti’s
Police arrested a 51-year-old Crystal Lake woman at Moretti’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, 220 N. Randall Road, at 3:43 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage to state-supported property. Police transported the woman to the McHenry County Jail.
Domestic
Police responded to the 100 block of Northlight Pass at 10:09 a.m. Sunday for a report of a domestic between parents and a son.
Criminal Damage to Vehicle
Police received a report in the 5400 block of Whitmore Way at 12:45 p.m. Sunday of a broken driver-side window. Lake in the Hills police are investigating.
Vehicle vs. Deer
Two accidents involving a vehicle and a deer occurred Sunday in Lake in the Hills. The first occurred at Lakewood Road and Sullivan Pass at 2:14 p.m. and resulted in property damage. The second occurred at Rakow and Pyott roads at 6:28 p.m. and resulted in property damage.
Arrest Warrant
Lake in the Hills police took into custody a 21-year-old Lake in the Hills man on a Kane County arrest warrant for traffic offense. Police arrested the man in the 100 block of South Annandale Drive at 1:37 a.m. Saturday and transported him to the McHenry County Jail.
Drunken Driving Arrest
Police arrested a 23-year-old St. Charles woman at Burger King, 224 S. Randall Road, at 3:41 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Officials later released the woman on bond.
Drunken Driving Arrest
Police arrested a 22-year-old Cary woman at Dominick’s, 101 N. Randall Road, at 3:42 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without headlights. Officials later released the woman on bond.
Teen Arrested in Theft
Police arrested a 17-year-old Lake in the Hills girl in the 700 block of Parc Court on a theft charge. Police later released the girl to a parent.
Arrest Warrant
Police arrested a 43-year-old Lake in the Hills man on a McHenry County warrant for traffic violations at 8:51 p.m. Saturday in the 5700 block of Wildspring Drive. Officials later released the man on bond.
Drunken Driving Arrest
Police arrested a 25-year-old Woodstock man at Harvest Gate and Algonquin Road about 2:48 a.m. Friday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol content over .08 and improper lane use. Officials later released the man on bond.
Drug Charge
Police arrested a 22-year-old River Grove man at Cedar Ridge Drive and Algonquin Road at 2:36 p.m. Friday on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Officials later released the man on bond.
Sex Offender Report
Police are investigating a report from Moretti’s, 220 N. Randall Road, about 10:44 p.m. Friday regarding a sex offender who failed to register.
Driving While License Suspended
Police arrested a 32-year-old Crystal Lake man near 6900 Rakow Road on charges of driving while license suspended and using a wireless device while in a construction zone. Officials later released the man on bond.
Ambulance Called to Moretti’s
Emergency personnel responded to Moretti’s, 220 N. Randall, at 1:20 a.m. Thursday and took a 29-year-old possibly having a seizure by ambulance to Sherman Hospital.
Theft
Police received two delayed reports of theft from Moretti’s on Thursday. Police received a report at 10:51 a.m. regarding a stolen purse and at 10:52 a.m. a report regarding a stolen cell phone.
