Men Enter Not Guilty Pleas for Attempted Bank Robbery

Aaron Russell, 40, of Orland Hills and Robert Favela, 34, of Chicago face charges of attempted bank robbery, conspiracy to commit bank robbery and using a firearms during a violet crime, according to Northwest Herald.

Two men accused of attempting to rob an Associated Bank in Richmond have entered not guilty pleas to federal charges, according to the Northwest Herald. 

Aaron Russell, 40, of Orland Hills and Robert Favela, 34, of Chicago face charges of attempted bank robbery, conspiracy to commit bank robbery and using a firearms during a violet crime, according to the article. 

The men were arrested on May 10 outside the Associated Bank, 10910 N. Main St. in Richmond, according to the Daily Herald. An alleged accomplice in the robbery, Tony Starnes, 45, of Chicago, was killed at about 11:30 a.m. during a shootout with FBI officers in the bank parking lot, the Daily Herald reports.

Starnes was shot to death by FBI special agents after allegedly ramming a Honda Civic into one of their vehicles, according to the article.
