UPDATE: Woman Hit by Car in McHenry Upgraded to Fair Condition

A 47-year-old woman is in stable and fair condition after she was hit by a car crossing Route 120 in McHenry on Friday afternoon.

A 47-year-old woman has been upgraded from critical to fair and stable condition after she was hit by a car about 5:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, the Northwest Herald reports. The woman was crossing Route 120 near Borden Street when she was hit by a car driven by a 72-year-old woman. Police did not release their names. 

A McHenry Police officer on patrol in the area noticed the victim lying on the road. She was transported to Centegra Hospital in McHenry, and then flown by Flight for Life to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The accident remains under investigation. No citations have been issued, yet, according to the Northwest Herald article.
