Man Hospitalized After Crash Faces Drug Charges

The accident occurred Sunday evening near Randall and Miller roads.

Local police charged a Crystal Lake man with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis after his car was hit by a truck on Randall Road on Sunday evening.

After the crash, the man facing drug charges, Daniel Peterson, 24, of Crystal Lake, was transported to Sherman Hospital, where he was treated and released for a minor neck injury, said Lake in the Hills police Sgt. Ted Ziarkowski.

Peterson then was taken to the , where he was released after posting $150 bond. He is charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, Ziarkowski said.

The driver of the Dodge Ram truck that struck Peterson’s car, Aaron Milligan, 32, of Lakemoor, was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. 

The crash occurred about 6:51 p.m. Sunday on Randall Road, just south of Miller Road. The traffic was heavy at the time of the crash.
