Man Arrested on Drug Charges; Trailer Damaged By Glass Bottle

Criminal Damage to Speed Trailer

Lake in the Hills Police received a report Wednesday evening that a speed trailer located near Miller Road and Worthington Lane had been damaged by a glass bottle.

Hit and Run on Larkspur Lane

Police received a complaint that a vehicle hit a mailbox in the 4400 block of Larkspur Lane around 3:17 p.m. The vehicle then left the scene, according to the police department's daily bulletin.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Police pulled over a 23-year-old Cary man in the area of Algonquin and Lakewood roads around 4:19 p.m. Tuesday. [Name Removed] was cited for texting while driving and driving without a seatbelt or insurance and later arrested on drug charges. [Name Removed] appeared in McHenry County Court Wednesday and was charged with two felony counts of possession of an illegal amount of a controlled substance, according to online court records. He also received citations for the traffic violations and for failing to notify about an address change.

Trespassing Complaints

  • Police received a trespassing complaint from a resident living in the 2300 block of Claremont Lane around 9:35 p.m. Tuesday. Police responded and issued a trespassing warning to the subject, according to the daily bulletin.
  • Police received another tresspassing complaint on Monday around 9:27 p.m. in the 2600 block of Melbourne Lane. The complaint is under investigaiton.
