Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting a Child
Evan A. Staron, 27, is accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13.
An Antioch man has been arrested and is accused of sexually assaulting a girl younger than age 13.
Evan A. Staron, 27, of the 27000 block of Grass Lake Rd., was arrested June 27, and charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, according to McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren.
The charges stem from an investigation initiated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division on June 2, when the victim reported allegations of sexual abuse, Nygren said in a news release.
The victim reported she was sexually assaulted and/or abused by Staron between 2007-2009, when she was under the age of 13.
On June 27, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit took Staron into custody after a warrant for his arrest had been issued.

Detectives interviewed Staron regarding the above listed allegations. The investigation of the alleged incidents is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
Bond for Staron has been set for $100,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court July 2.
