Local Man Enters Plea in Stabbing Death of Homeless Man

Kyle Morgan pleaded guilty but mentally ill for the stabbing death of a homeless man, according to the Daily Herald.

Kyle Morgan of Woodstock has pleaded guilty but mentally ill to the2009 stabbing murder of a homeless man, Robin A. Burton Jr., whose body was found in Morgan's apartment, according to the Daily Herald. 

Morgan was set to stand trial on Monday on first-degree murder charges before he entered the plea, according to the article. A sentencing hearing will begin on Oct. 17, and Morgan could face between 20 to 36 years in prison, according to the Daily Herald.
