Local Doctor Files Suit Against Patients Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Dr. Mahesh Parikh has lost his medical license because of the allegations, according to the Northwest Herald.

A Crystal Lake doctor, who lost his license after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced, is suing three former patients and has also filed a defamation lawsuit against the mother of one of the patients, according to the Northwest Herald.

Dr. Mahesh Parikh, a neurologist, was never criminal charged but his medical license was suspended in March 2012 after he was accused of fondling a 19-year-old patient at Advanced Neurological Care in Crystal Lake, according to the article.

The lawsuit was filed in Cook County earlier this month and Parikh claims in the legal filings that the allegations have damaged his reputation, according to the Northwest Herald.
