Retail Theft

Police arrested Justin A. Warnock, 19, at 9:58 a.m. on July 9 at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin, for retail theft. Warnock, of 8 W. Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Aug. 29 in Algonquin. 

Warrant Arrest
Police arrested Bradley A. Heckman, 23, at 12:43 p.m. on July 9 on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear on a domestic battery charge. He was taken into custody at Randall Road and Harnish Drive in Algonquin. Heckman, of 190 Briarwood Drive in Crystal Lake, was released after posting $300 and is next expected in court on July 19 in McHenry County. 

Warrant Arrest for Retail Theft

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Clarence B. Vogt, 45, at 9:46 p.m. on July 9 on a warrant out of Boone County for failure to appear on an uninsured motor vehicle charge. Vogt of Chicago was taken into custody at 2664 Loren Lane in Algonquin. He was released after posting $200 and is next expected in court on Aug. 17 in Boone County. 

Theft of Services

Police arrested Briana R. Mailey, 18, at 2:30 a.m. on July 10 for theft of services. Mailey of Cypress, Tex., was taken into custody at 25 Hickory Lane in Algonquin. She was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 15 in McHenry County. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Police arrested a 13-year-old Algonquin boy at 10:30 a.m. on July 10 for theft and two counts of criminal damage to property. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin. He was referred to the tri-county peer jury and then released to the custody of this parents. 

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Police arrested Alexander A. Wallace, 21, at 11:16 p.m. on July 10 for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to notify/unattended vehicle and no proof of insurance. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, and was released after posting his Illinois Driver's License and $150. He is expected in court on Aug. 15 in McHenry County. 

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested LaToya L. Brown, 40, at 7:32 p.m. on July 11 on a warrant out of Arlington Heights for driving while license suspended. Brown of Rockford was taken into custody at 1904 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. She was released after posting $300 and is next expected in court on Aug. 6 in Cook County. 

Underage Drinking

Police arrested Jenna L. Scorza, 20, at 2:09 a.m. on July12 at Harnish Drive and Hanson Road for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 15 in McHenry County. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested three 17-year-old Woodstock girls at 7:58 p.m. on July 12 at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, on retail theft charges. All were referred to the tri-county peer jury and then released into the custody of their parents. 

LAKE IN THE HILLS POLICE BLOTTER

Marijauan Possession

Police arrested Ivan Espinoza, 19, at 8:44 p.m. on July 12 at White Castle, 241 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills, for possession of marijuana less than 2.5 grams. He was later released on bond. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested two 17-year-old Carpentersville boys at 10:23 p.m. on July 12 at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road in LITH, for retail theft under $300 charges. Both were released to their parents. 

DUI

Police arrested Aaron James Peluso, 36, at 1:46 a.m. on July 11 at Rakow Road and Pyott Road for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08, speeding between 15 to 20 mph above the limit and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Peluso, of 1111 Pine Street in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

Armed Robbery Warrant

Police arrested Jon P. Jackson, 28, at 10:21 a.m. on July 11 on a warrant out of Downers Grove Police Department for armed robbery. Jackson, of 6712 Rose Avenue in Crystal Lake, was turned over to the Downers Grove Police Department. 

No Valid Illinois License

Police arrested Daniel R. Patfield, 45, at 5:39 p.m. on July 11 at Route 31 and Virginia Road for no valid license, disregarding a traffic control device and no insurance. Patfield, of 856 Canterbury Drive in Crystal Lake, was later released on bond. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Douglas J. Hill, 53, at 7:57 p.m. on July 11 on two counts of domestic battery in the 900 block of Viewpoint Drive. Hill, of 986 Viewpoint Drive, was taken to the McHenry County Jail. 

DUI

Police arrested Michael D. Moe, 21, at 11:17 p.m. on July 11 for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08, improper traffic lane usage, possession of marijuana less than 2.5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Moe, of 1061 McPhee Drive in LITH, was released on bond. 

No Valid Driver's License

Police arrested Guillermo Aguilar-Ventura, 33, at 5:17 a.m. on July 10 for no valid driver's license and disobeying a traffic control device. Aguilar-Ventura of Carpentersville was released on bond. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested Julia J. Willa, 45, at Funky Munky, 323 N. Randall Road, at 4:08 p.m. on July 10 for retail theft. Willa, of 163 Polaris Drive in LITH, was later released on bond. 

Underage Drinking

Police arrested Nicholas A. Sanfilippo, 18, at 9:44 p.m. on July 10 in the first block of Hadden Court for underage consumption of alcohol. Sanfilippo of Huntley was give a notice to appear.

Burglary to Motor Vehicles, Criminal Trespassing to Vehicle

Police responded to several reports of burglary, criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing to motor vehicles in Lake in the Hills on July 10. All the reports were made to police the morning of July 10 and include the following reports: 

  • A laptop, iPad, iPod, radar detector, smart cord, factory charger, football equipment and book bag were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Northlight Pass. 
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 100 block of Northlight Pass.
  • Several items were taken from a locked vehicle in the 100 block of Heartland Gate. 
  • A windshield was damaged by an unknown object in the 1100 block of Heartland Gate. 
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 1100 block of Heartland Gate. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Edward D. Robinson, 32, at 2:22 a.m. on July 9 for driving while license suspended, disobeying a stop sign and no insurance. Robinson, of 1334 Ivy Lane in Crystal Lake, was released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Sossane Pierre Michel Seri, 20,at 7:35 p.m. on July 9  at Algonquin Road and Cedar Ridge Drive for driving while license suspended and a child restraint violation. Seri was later released on bond.
