LITH Woman Injured in Crystal Lake Crash

A 50-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on Congress Parkway in Crystal Lake. 

The crash occurred when a 2006 Toyota Rav4, which was traveling east on Congress Parkway near Federal Drive, crossed into the westbound lanes and collided with a 2009 Jeep Liberty, according to a Crystal Lake Police Department press release. The accident happened at 1:49 p.m. Monday. 

The driver of the Rav4, Judith Puckett, 50, of Lake in the Hills, was transported by Crystal Lake ambulance to Good Shepherd Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. She was not seriously injured, according to Crystal Lake Police. 

The driver of the Jeep Liberty, Dwayne Kuhn, was not transported. 

Puckett was cited for improper lane usage and is expected in court on Aug. 28. 
Manual traffic direction was conducted around the scene for approximately 30 minutes as crews tended to the drivers, investigated the crash, and removed the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
