LITH Woman Arrested for Biting Dog

While it’s not uncommon to hear of an animal biting a person it’s quite strange when those roles are reversed.

But that is exactly the type of case the Lake in the Hills Police Department was dealt early Sunday.

Police arrested Analise J. Garner for animal cruelty at 411 Village Creek Drive, Apt. 2C, in Lake in the Hills, at 4:13 a.m. Sunday for reports that she bit her family’s 80-pound English Bulldog, said Sgt. Mark Smith of the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

Police reported Garner came home intoxicated and became “out of control” after her mother confronted the teen about her drinking, Smith said.

“She started to hit the mother and then bit the mother and then she turned on the family’s dog,” Smith said.

The dog bit her back once in her left arm, Smith said. Garner was taken to the hospital to have the bite checked out and then transported to McHenry County Jail.

The family refused medical treatment for the dog, Smith said.

Garner now faces charges for animal cruelty, domestic battery, domestic battery of an assaulting and provoking nature and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Garner appeared in court on Monday and her bond is set at $3,000, according to the Northwest Herald. She is next expected in court on May 23, according to the NW Herald.
