LITH Reports for Vandalism, Use of BB Guns, Illegal Use of Credit Card

Lake in the Hills Police release incident reports through Nov. 25, 2013.

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police incident reports. 

Damage

A vehicle was reported damaged sometime during the night of Nov. 10 in the 300 block of Harvest Gate, Lake in the Hills. The damage was reported at 9:36 a.m.

Hit and Run

A two-car accident occurred at 7:08 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Miller Road and Spring Lake Drive. One car involved in the crash fled the scene, police said. 

A car parked in the 100 block of Harvest Gate was struck by an unknown vehicle sometime before 2:07 pm. Wednesday, Nov. 6. 

Unlawful Use of BB Guns

Police issued citations at 8:46 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, to individuals in the 500 block of Delaware for using BB guns within the village limits. 


Theft

Multiple items were reported stolen at 2:57 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, from Ace Hardware, 481 N. Randall Rd., Lake in the Hills. An investigation is pending. 

Two keys were reportedly stolen from a house in the 100 block of Deerpath sometime before 12:36 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. An investigation is pending. 


Credit Card Fraud

A resident living in the 4900 block of Princeton Lane reported at 10:04 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, illegal purchases were made on his/ her credit card. The case was turned over to the Flushing NY Police Department. 

A resident living in the 4400 block of Heron Drive, Lake in the Hills, reported unauthorized charges were made to his/ her credit card sometime before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. 

Vandalism

Bleachers and dumpsters were vandalized sometime before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at LeRoy Guy Park. 

Car Collision

Two cars collided at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Randall and Miller roads. A 60-year-old man suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. 

A two-car accident occurred at 7:12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5,  at Acorn Lane and Acorn Court in Lake in the Hills. A 60-year-old woman suffered neck pain as a result of the collision. She was transported to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
