LITH Teen Arrested for DUI, Texting While Driving; More Arrests

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI

Mark A. Lonigro, 48, of the 600 block of Joseph St., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Nov. 24, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, improper lane use and improper turn at an intersection. He was stopped by police at Willow Street and Willow Road. He was released on bond.

Scott J. Ferrentino, 30, of the 70 block of Mary Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Nov. 27, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed, improper lane use, unsafe equipment and no insurance. He was stopped by police on Pyott Road. He was released on a notice to appear in court. 

Ian S. Biggar, 18, of 2 Carl Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 4:55 a.m. Nov. 28, and charged with the following:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol
• DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08
• Leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage
• Unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor
• Texting while driving
• Failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident
• Failure to give information.

Biggar was stopped by police at Willow Street and Anderson Drive. He posted bond and was released. 

Underage Drinking

A 16-year-old Lake in the Hills juvenile was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Nov. 26, and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was stopped in the 600 block of Joseph Street. He was released on a notice to appear in court. 

No Valid Drivers License

Francisco H. Rodriguez, 50, of the 700 block of Darlington Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 6:05 a.m. Nov. 27, and charged with not having a valid drivers license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a notice to appear in court. He was stopped by police at Algonquin Road and Boulder Drive.

Raul Ramirez-Alejo, 33, of the 500 block of Lake Avenue, Woodstock, was arrested at 2:21 p.m. Dec. 1, and charged with not having a valid drivers license and driving too closely. He was stopped by police near Algonquin and Lakewood roads. He was released on bond. 

Filberto Sanchez, 38, of the 200 block of Uteg St., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 5:43 a.m. Dec. 4, and charged with not having a valid drivers license and speeding after he was stopped near Frank and Algonquin roads. He was turned over to the McHenry County  Jail.
