LITH Police: 15-year-old Caught Driving, Christmas Tree Hits Car, Intoxicated Juvenile

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Domestic Battery

Donald J. Keacher, 46, of the 200 block of Village Creek Drive, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, and charged with two counts of domestic battery. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Juvenile Caught Driving

A 15-year-old Huntley boy was stopped at 7:58 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Mobile on the Run, 101 Pyott Road. He was charged with not having a valid drivers license, improper turn and not having insurance. He was turned over to a parent. 

Battery

Dwayne M. Worthy, 34, of the 300 block of Steeplechase Way, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, at the same address and charged with battery. He was released on bond. 

Hit and Run

Pamela E. Tonge, 65, of the 200 block of Oregon Ave., West Dundee, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Walgreen's, 100 N. Randall Rd., and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to give information. She was released on bond. 

Car vs. Deer

A car hit a deer at 7:12 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in the 6900 block of Rakow Road (the Rakow curve). No injuries were reported. 

Christmas Tree Hits Car

Police responded to the area of Algonquin Road and Talaga Drive at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, when a Christmas tree fell off the top of one vehicle and hit another vehicle. Property damage only was reported. 

  

No Valid Drivers License

Jose L. Mendez-Angeles, 25, of the 400 block of Buckingham Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 7:57 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, and charged with not having a valid drivers license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on bond. 

DUI

Jeffrey S. Treynor, 25, of the 2500 block of Lawndale Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 1:28 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Costco, 250 N. Randalll Rd., and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of open liquor by a driver. He was released on bond. 

Amira M. Baghdadi, 29, of the 700 block of Page Street, Marengo, was arrested at 4:01 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, and improper lane use. She was stopped at Bunker Hill and Randall roads. 

Intoxicated Juvenile

Police reported an intoxicated juvenile was transported to Sherman Hospital in Elgin for medical assistance at 12:11 a.m. Nov. 23. The juvenile was found in the 600 block of Joseph St.

Harassment by Electronic Device

An 11-year-old juvenile was charged at 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the 5500 block of Savoy Drive with harassment by electronic device. He was released into the custody of his parent. 

Tires Slashed

A resident living in the 800 block of Parc Court reported tires slashed on a car sometime before 1:24 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28. The case was turned over to investigations. 

Theft

Peter D. Hixson, 29, of Country Oaks Drive, Barrington Hills, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, and charged with theft under $500. He was released on bond. 

Retail Theft

Shawn R. Thiede, 36, of the 200 block of Wallace Dr., Cary, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at CVS, 4511 W. Algonquin Rd., and charged with felony retail theft. Thiede was transported to the McHenry County Jail. 

Sarah H. Szudarski, 36, of the 1900 block of Lafayette St., Janesville, Wis., was also charged during the same event with felony retail theft. She was also transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Violation of Order of Protection

Ronald I. Gates, 41, of the 3100 block of Banbury Lane, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, and charged with violation of an order of protection. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Wanted on Warrant

Richard F. Vaia, 49, of the 1800 block of Broadsmore Dr., Algonquin, was charged at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, with violation of an order of protection. He was also wanted on a warrant out of McHenry County for violation of an order of protection. No bond was set. Vaia was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock.

Brett W. Kleckner, 22, of the 100 block of Louie Lane, Hampshire, was arrested at 3:39 p.m. Nov. 29, on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear in court. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Christopher K. Huber, 21, of the 5600 block of Hawthorne Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, on a warrant out of Boone County for failure to appear in court and another warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear in court. He was also charged by LITH Police with driving while license revoked. He was released on bond. 

Sherri M. Head, 39, of the 1200 block of North Ave., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, on a warrant out of McHenry County for larceny. She was released on bond. 

Suzanne K. Rezab, 27, of the 300 block of Plum Street, Lake in the Hills, was arrested on a warrant out of the McHenry County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear in court on assault charges. She was released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Matthew R. Unger, 31, of the 1100 block of Ash St., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 12:19 a.m. Nov. 16, and charged with driving while license suspended. He was released on bond. 

Sherry M. Hanson, 38, of the 600 block of Flora Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. Nov. 20, and charged with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released on bond. 

Orion X. Dejournette, 20, of the 800 block of Clover Lane, Pingree Grove, was arrested at 12:36 a.m. Nov. 18, and charged with driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving a vehicle with one headlight out. He was released on bond. 

Jonathan E. Harden, 21, of the 1300 block of Floresta Vista, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. Nov. 22, and charged with driving while license suspended, expired registration and no insurance. He was stopped by police near Algonquijn and Pyott roads. He was released on bond. 

Dawaun T. Wells, 30, of the 200 block of Commons Rd., Cary, was arrested at 4:01 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, and charged with driving while license suspended and disregarding a traffic control device. He was released on bond. 

Christopher R. Grass, 31, of the 100 block of Tee Road, Carpentersville, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, and charged with driving while license suspended. He was stopped by police near Tuffy's, 59 W. Acorn Ln. He was released on bond.
