LITH Police: Teen Charged with Battery, Several Charged with Marijuana Possession

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Burglary to Car

Taylor M. King, 19, of the 0-10 block of Margate Ct., was arrested at 12:30 a.m. June 13, and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle and theft. He was also issued a notice to appear for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. King was stopped by police in the 00 block of Turnberry Court. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Teen Charged with Domestic Battery

14-Year-old Hampshire boy was arrested at 6:12 p.m. June 11, and charged with two counts of domestic battery. He was arrested near Verizon Wireless store, 290 N. Randall Rd. He was released into the custody of his parents. 

Providing Liquor to Person Under 21

Kevin M. Kniesel, 26, of the 1500 block of Clayton Marsh, Lake in the Hills was arrested at 11:08 p.m. June 3, and charged with furnishing liquor to a person under the age of 21. He was issued a notice to appear in court. 

Underage Drinking

Cody L. Stanton, 19, of the 16000 block of Stacy Lane, Union, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. June 5 and charged with underage consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stanton was stopped by police near Reed and Lakewood roads. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Domestic Battery

Donald M. Syvlie, 42, of the 100 block of Judson St., Bensenville, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. June 9, and charged with two counts of domestic battery. Syvlie was arrested in the 400 block of Winslow Way. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 


DUI

Matthew L. Graf, 23, of the 80 block of Hilltop Dr., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 3:39 a.m. June 8, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, speeding and not wearing a seat belt. He was stopped by police near Lake and Algonquin roads. He was released on bond. 

Marijuana Possession

Danielle N. Peckham, 27, of the 0-10 block of Hithergreen Ct., Algonquin, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. June 9, and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested near Taco Bell, 231 N. Randall Rd. Peckham was released on bond.

Ryan M. Walker, 21, of the 600 block of David St., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 4:43 p.m. June 6, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped by police near Village Creek Drive and Acorn Lane. He was released on bond. 

17-Year-old Lake in the Hills girl was arrested at 4:31 p.m. June 5, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was stopped by police near Reed and Lakewood roads. She was released into the custody of a parent. 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Meghan Beckett, 18, of the 5400 block of Whitmore Way, Lake in the Hills, was arrested 4:31 p.m. June 5, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was stopped by police near Reed and Lakewood roads. She was released on bond.
 
15-Year-old Lake in the Hills girl was arrested at 4:31 p.m. June 5, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She also was stopped by police near Reed and Lakewood roads. She was released into the custody of a parent. 

Wanted on Warrant

Claude R. Thompson, 21, of the 60 block of Joslyn Dr., Elgin, was arrested at 4:03 a.m. June 9, on a warrant out of Elgin for failure to appear in court on charges of resisting a police officer, driving while license suspended and battery. Thompson was arrested at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Rd. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock.
