LAKE IN THE HILLS POLICE BLOTTER

Arrests

James O Connor, 28, of the 400 block of Leah Lane, Woodstock, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage at 10:17 a.m. July 24 at Peartree Drive and Frank Road.  O Connor also was charged with causing injury relating to an accident and was released on bond. 

James N. Pobol, 24, of the 900 block of Cynthia Lane, Lake in the Hills, was taken into custody at his residence relating to a Kane County warrant.  Pobol was turned over to the Elgin Community College police and a bond of $100,000 was issued.

Jeremy D. Weise, 31, of the 7400 block of Hemlock Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving while his license was suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 10:10 p.m. July 25 at Radow Road and Pyott Road. Weise also was charged with speeding in a construction zone and was released on bond. 

John Schmarje, 39, of the 200 block of Gladys Avenue, Fox River Grove, was charged with driving with a suspended license and having no proof of insurance at 1:21 p.m. July 26. Schmarje also was charged with having an expired registration and was released on bond. 

Assist Fire Department

Police assisted the fire department with a dryer fire in a residence located in the 2800 block of Brisbane Drive at 7:18 p.m. July 25.  No injuries were reported. 

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

A resident reported a GPS was stolen from their vehicle parked in the 900 block of Blackberry Court at 7:55 p.m. July 26.  Police are investigating. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A Lake in the Hills resident reported windows damaged at their residence in the 2900 block of Impressions Drive at 12:10 p.m. July 24.  Items inside the residence also were damaged and the case was turned over to investigations.

Dog Bite

A 6-year-old girl was bitten by a dog in th 900 block of Viewpoint Drive at 4:14 p.m. July 26.  No further information was available on the condition of the girl or the dog that bit her. 

Identity Theft

A resident living in the 0 block of Flowerfield Court reported to police at 5:53 p.m. July 24 that personal information was utilized to open a fradulent account in the subject's name.  Lake in the Hills police are currently investigating.
