Lake in the Hills Police Arrests for Battery, Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law. 

Battery, Trespassing

Kevin J. Loftus, 27, of the 9000 block of Durham Dr., Huntley, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. Sunday, June 23, and charged with battery, criminal trespass to property, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. He was stopped by police in the 1000 block of Noelle Bend Street. Loftus was released on bond.

Harassment by Electronic Device

Patrick C. Taucher, 19, of the 700 block of Regency Park Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, June 23, and charged with harassment by electronic device. He was stopped by police in the 1100 block of Ridgewood Circle. Taucher was released on bond. 

Disorderly Conduct

17-year-old Lake in the Hills juvenile was arrested at 3:22 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Taco Bell, 231 N. Randall Rd., and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released to a parent. 

Wanted on Warrant

Jamie D. DePaul, 21, of the 0-10 block of Sierra Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, on a McHenry County Sheriff's warrant for failure to appear in court. Bond was set at $7,000, 10 percent applies. She was released on bond. 

Cortney R. Douglas, 23, of the 20 block of Lincoln St., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. June 18, on a Arlington Heights warrant for shoplifting. Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent applies. She was released on bond. 

James A. Mestas, 40, 352 Woodview Circle, Elgin, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. June 18, on a McHenry County Sheriff's Office warrant for domestic battery. No bond was set. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Jessica M. Smith, 19, of the 900 block of Golf Course Road, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. June 16, on a warrant out of Jackson County for failure to appear in court for assault. Smith was also charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent applies. She was released on bond, and given a notice to appear in court.
