Lake in the Hills Police Arrest Several People for DUI

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI

Victor Nova-Castaneda, 23, 1113 O'Brien St., Harvard, was arrested Feb. 24, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked and speeding. He was stopped at Algonquin and Frank roads. He was released on bond.

Michael P. Bochum, 29, 600 Bradford Ln., West Dundee, was arrested Feb. 24, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood-alcohol content over .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, and speeding. Bochum was arrested at 2:25 a.m. at Acorn Lane and Randall Road. He was released on bond.

Curtis J. Slepokura, 30, 3 Kay Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 3:49 a.m. Feb. 24, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood-alcohol over .08 and improper lane use. He was stopped at Algonquin and Randall roads. He was released on bond.

Christen N. Melton, 33, 9 Hickory Ln., Algonquin, was arrested at 1:37 a.m. Feb. 26, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was stopped by police at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Rd. He was released on bond.

Osvaldo R. Unzueta-Juarez, 28, 673 Andersen Dr., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. March 1, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood-alcohol level content over .08, driving while license suspended, disregarding a stop sign, failure to give signal and expired registration. Juarez was stopped at Willow Street and Grace Drive. Juarez was released on bond.

Expired Drivers License

Michael R. Potokar, 26, 27968 Lakeview Dr., Wauconda, was arrested at 2:52 a.m. Feb. 24, and charged with having a drivers license that was expired for more than one year. Potokar was stopped by police at Route 31 and Trinity Drive. He was released on bond.
