LITH Police: Woman Arrested for Crack Cocaine; CL Woman Charged with Hit & Run

Possession of Crack Cocaine

Megan C. Franklin, 23, of the 2900 block Oakwood Ln., McHenry, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. Sept. 27, near Berquist Marine, 8415 Route 31, and charged with: 

• Unlawful possession of controlled substance, crack cocaine
• Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
• Obstructing identification
• No valid drivers license
• No front plate
• Operating an uninsured motor vehicle

She was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock.

DUI

Kody J. Bekeris, 22, of the 1300 block of Wauchope Dr., Elgin, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. Sept. 28, at Frank and Algonquin roads and charged with:

• Driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs
• Driving under the influence of alcohol
• DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08
• Improper lane use
• No rear registration light
• Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
• Unlawful possession of cannabis.

He was released on bond. 

Brittney M. Russell, 24, of the 900 block of Darlington Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 4:24 a.m. Sept. 28, at Ackman and Randall roads. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood-alcohol content over .08, and improper lane use. She was released on bond. 

Hit & Run

Rebecca Atwater, 35, of the 1500 block of Candlewood Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. Sept. 28, and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and following too closely. She was released on bond. 

Wanted on Warrant

Ginny Linker, 45, of the 2200 block of Ringwood Rd., McHenry, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. Sept. 27, on a warrant from Lake County Sheriff's Office, for residential burglary. Bond was set at $50,000, 10 percent applies.

She was also charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing identification. She was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

Brian J. Plushkis, 26, of the 1000 block of Viewpoint Dr., Lake in the Hills, was arrested Sept. 27, on a warrant out of the McHenry County Sheriff's Office for possession of heroin. Bond was set at $1,500, 10 percent applies. He was released on bond.

Jose L. Santos, 27, of the 300 block of North Street, Elgin, was arrested at 8:22 a.m. Sept. 30, on a warrant out of the McHenry County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear in court for suspended registration and no valid insurance. Bond was set at $50,000, 10 percent applies. He was released on bond.
