The sheriff's office has made no arrests but has some leads, which have helped investigators piece together a possible suspect vehicle description, Zinke said.

The vehicle is believed to be a 1995 to 1999 Chevrolet Caviler Z24. There were also pieces of the vehicle left at the scene, which aided in putting together the possible vehicle description, Zinke said.

The traffic crash is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit. Anyone information regarding the investigation is asked to call the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office at 815-338-2144, or Crime Stoppers at 800-762-STOP (7867).
