Former Lake in the Hills Man Gets 25 Years For Sexual Assault

The Daily Herald reported that former Lake in the Hills resident Robert W. Lucht, 56, was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

A former Lake in the Hills resident has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual assault of a child, the Daily Herald reported.

Robert W. Lucht, 56, had been charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, the newspaper reported.

Lucht previously had attempted suicide in October after a jury found him guilty on the charges.

As Patch previously reported, Lucht was convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl. The girl, according to a press release from the McHenry County State's Attorney, was admitted to a hospital when she was 11 years old for having suicidal intentions and for harming herself.

The girl then reported she had been sexually assaulted by Lucht multiple times when she was between the age of 9 and 11 years old, according to the news release.
