The Algonquin-LITH firefighters responded to a Monday night call in the 9700 block of Arthur Road.

On July 4, the Algonquin-LITH Fire Department responded to a garage fire at 9716 Arthur Road in Algonquin that was caused after fireworks were lit off construction materials.

At 10:31 p.m. the department received a phone call from a neighbor who noticed flames on the detached garage. Neighbors put out most of the fire using water hoses by the time the crews arrived, according to officials.

Arriving crews put a foam and water mixture on the materials to make sure that the fire was doused.
