Fire Bar & Grill Closes Following Vandalism
Police have no leads or suspects at this point.
The Fire Bar & Grill has been forced to temporarily shut its doors after the popular bar and restaurant was vandalized Monday night.
There are currently no suspects in the vandalism, Crystal Lake Police said Thursday afternoon, and the bar's owners are working to make the repairs needed for the business to re-open.
Owners of the Fire Bar, located at 435 Angela Lane, discovered the damage Tuesday morning when they came to open the restaurant and bar for the day, said Gene Lowery, Crystal Lake Police Department deputy chief.

"It's extensive,'' Lowery said of the damage, adding the exact amount of the loss is not yet known.
According to a posting on the Fire Bar & Grill's website, the owners are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of "those responsible."

"The extent of the damage was so severe, we were forced to temporarily close," according to the statement.
Repairs are in progress at the Fire Bar but it was not clear when the business will re-open, according to the Fire Bar's Facebook page. LITH Patch was not able to reach anyone at the Fire Bar Thursday afternoon.
With no leads or suspects yet, Lowery called the investigation "open and ongoing.''
